Stacey grew up in Park River, ND. She attended the University of Mary for 1-1/2 years and transferred to UND to pursue a degree in Dietetics in January of 2006. She graduated in May of 2009 and worked for the NDSU Extension Service from 2009 until she had the honor of accepting this position in August of 2011. She likes to walk, sing, be with friends and family, put together puzzles, and cook (or at least look at cookbooks) in her spare time. She’s excited to work with the dynamic group of individuals that make up the Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals. Stacey enjoys staying connected with the people within the organization, so please contact her at any time!

 Tom was born and raised in Devils Lake, ND and went on to attend and graduate with a degree in Psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he also ran Track and Field. Tom has called Grand Forks his home for 6 years now with his wife Tiffany, their son Alex, and their two English Pointers, Chance and Ginger. Tom currently works for the city of Grand Forks as a Communications Coordinator. He has the privilege of working with many of Grand Forks’ businesses and professionals on a daily basis, seeing the best the best the Grand Forks has to offer. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and riding his motorcycle.

 I grew up in Grand Forks, I received my BS in Marketing from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2006. I moved back to Grand Forks in 2011 after accepting the position of Insurance Agent with Thompson Insurance. I have been in the insurance business since I graduate from College. I am married to my lovely wife Lindsey and have two kids Stetsen and Lilly. I enjoy spending time with my family, taking the kids to the park and playing golf, baseball, and hockey with my son. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, playing softball and officiating hockey.

 Anthony was born and raised in Grand Forks.  He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.  Anthony is currently a manager in the tax department at Brady Martz & Associates.  Anthony has been married to his beautiful wife Erica for 5 years, and they have 3 kids, Brayden, Easton, and Jaylee.  He enjoys spending time outside playing baseball and soccer with his kids, and golfing with his wife

Andrew grew upin Buffalo, MN and joined the Air Force active duty in September 2001, where he was an Honor Graduate of Basic Military Training and served 6 years as an In-Flight RefuelingCraftsman at Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND. During his enlistment he married his sweetheart Renee and remained living in Grand Forks where they have 3 children, Nathan, Avery, and Olivia. After completing his enlistment in
2007, he began working with Country Financial as a Financial Representative. He and his assistant Jennifer offer insurance and financial services here in Grand Forks for MN and ND businesses and residents. He’s a member of the Knights of Columbus, Grand Forks
Optimist Club, an affiliate member of the Grand Forks Board of Realtors, and has been a member of GGFYP since December 2008. During his free time he enjoys golf, fishing, spending time with his family, and grilling a good steak.

 Born in Minnesota, Rhiannon also lived in Hawaii and Colorado before finally calling Grand Forks home.  Rhiannon – goes by Rhi – graduated from UND for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.  Rhi recently became a partner in a local law firm and enjoys the diversity of cases she takes on in their general practice firm.  As a recent member of the YP’s, Rhi is very excited to get other young professionals involved in the Grand Forks community.

 Shana grew up in the small town of Waldron, Indiana. She lived in Grand Forks from 2004-2006, left to pursue her graduate degree, and returned to the city in 2011. Shana currently works as a registered nurse and enjoys volunteering with several local organizations. As Chairperson of the Community Involvement Committee, Shana helps young professionals connect to the larger community of Grand Forks and in turn works to connect the larger community with young professionals.

 Lisa grew up in Grand Forks, ND. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Communication.  She was a member of Lambda Pi Eta, Public Relations Student Society of America, American Advertising Federation (Secretary), and the School of Communication Student Council (Public Relations Director). Lisa has had work published in local, regional, and national publications. She is currently employed at the United Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks & Area as a Marketing & Campaign Coordinator.  Lisa also works part-time at Ralph Engelstad Arena as a Press Box Assistant for the UND Athletic Department. Lisa loves UND hockey and enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. She has been a member of GGFYP since May 2010.

 Matt grew up in Urbana, Ohio and joined the Air Force in 1995.  He moved to Grand Forks in 2001 and is assigned to the 319th Logistics Readiness Squadron at the Air Base.  He graduated with a degree in Logistics Management and Business Administration in 2002 and is currently working on his Business Management Degree from Park University.  Matt and his wife Brittany have 2 kids, Heidi (12) and Braydon (10).  They enjoy spending time outdoors at the family farm, camping at the lake, rollerblading on the Greenway, and attending UND Hockey games.  Matt also likes playing golf in his spare time.  Matt is very excited to be a part of the GGFYP and looks forward to improving his own and everyone else’s professional development.

Becca was born in Maryland, attended elementary school in the Twin Cities, and graduated from high school in Hockey Town USA aka rural Warroad, MN, the most northern town in the continental United States. Becca graduated from UND with her Bachelors in Psychology in 2009 and her Masters in Educational Leadership in 2011. While at UND she was active in the Honors Program, Student Government, and her sorority, Delta Gamma. In 2010, she was elected as the youngest member of the Grand Forks School Board. Becca is the Office Manager at the North Dakota Museum of Art, owns her own design business (BeeGee Designs, LLC), and works part-time as the Special Events Coordinator at the Empire Arts Center. She is active in the Global Friends Coalition and the boards of the North Dakota Ballet Company and the Town Square Farmer’s Market. She enjoys playing games, taking walks with her husband (Tyrone) and corgi dogs (Baylee and Moo), and organizing just about anything.

 Reared in Crosby ND, Evan moved to Grand Forks in the Fall of 2006 to attend UND. After receiving is Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in the Spring of 2011, Evan accepted a Systems Engineer position at Bactee Systems, Inc. In his spare time, Evan loves doing anything that makes him smile. As Chairperson of the Social Committee, Evan encourages Young Professionals to bring out their fun sides through social activities.

 Becky grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and moved to Grand Forks in the summer of 2010 with her husband. She received her Bachelor’s of Health Services Administration in December 2006 and her Master’s of Business Administration in December 2010, both from the University of South Dakota. She is currently working at Altru Health System as an Administrative Analyst in the Finance department. Becky enjoys doing projects around her house, scrap booking, being outdoors and spending time with her husband.

Just after the flood of 1997, Tyrone Grandstrand and his family moved from Karlstad, Minnesota, to Grand Forks, where Tyrone attended Ben Franklin Elementary, South Middle, and Red River High School. Tyrone graduated from UND in 2011 with degrees in Political Science and Economics. While at UND, Tyrone was a McNair Scholar and active in the Honors Program and the North Dakota Student Association (NDSA). Tyrone served for two years as a Student and University Senator, as well as two consecutive terms as UND Student Body President. Tyrone is very active in the community, serving as an elected City Councilman and the Vice President of the Community Land Trust board. Tyrone is a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual. In his “free” time, he enjoys curling on a local curling league, spending time at the Urban Stampede, walking along the Greenway, and taking his corgi dogs to the Lincoln Dog Park. He lives in north Grand Forks with his wife of 3 years, Becca.
  Michaela Schell

 Michaela grew up on a farm near South Heart, N.D. She moved to Grand Forks to attend UND where she graduated with a BS in Communication and English and an MA in Communication. She is currently a stay-at-home mom. Michaela also serves on the Empire Arts Center Board, does freelance marketing work, and enjoys being outside working in the yard, teaching her 7th grade religious education class, and spending time with her family.
